  • Midwest Airlines = Garbage Airlines

    Amirite?

They just delayed a 5:30 am flight from Minneapolis to Milwaukee three hours because a flight attendant(!) is sick. Jfc, just give me a skirt and a script for the safety shit and ill serve some drinks and get us in the fucking air. I didn't wake up at three in the goddamn morning for this shit. Hell, ill fly the fucking plane. I used to play flight simulator all the time and had a stunningly successful 40% non-crash rate. honestly I'd rather just put on my amish pants and ride horse-and-buggy style. Fuck you Midwest, and fuck you Thomas the tank engine for not having trains from Minneapolis to Kansas City. You smug son of a bitch.

It seems like all the garbage airlines have a monopoly on direct flights between non-hub cities (Minneapolis, Milwaukee, KC). I'm not looking forward to my trip on AirTran in a few months, but it's the only way to get to SFO for under $200.

I actually really like AirTran. I have flown them more than any other airline for the exact reason you mentioned. The way I look at it is the big airlines suck just as bad. There are just as many delays, and problems, they just have more flights so the % that effects you is much smaller. And you are paying for that % with your higher ticket price. I'd rather pay a lot less and go in expecting something to not go right and be pleasantly surprised, than pay double the cost for slightly better odds.

Now, the 3 hour delay is BS.

Although it may not be finalized by the time of your flight, as of this morning Southwest is planning on buying AirTran.

Midwest is one of two airlines that flies direct from Seattle to KC so we use them a lot. I agree that when it comes to delays, they stink. Specifically, it's their lack of communication about the delays that blows.

That said, their cookies usually make up for it.
