A popular question has arisen in a number of threads, so I thought it best to corral them all and put it into one big thread so that n00bs can always get an easy answer (we have a search function to find it, if need be)
The question, as stated in the subject line, is in regards to the beginning of this glorius site.
The cause was simple, over regulation and censorship paired with seemingly inconsistent moderation from some that will not be named.
This thread, which has been SERIOUSLY edited, was the straw that broke the camel's back....deletion, modding, banning, caused serious anger among some of the phog's biggest posters....hoopo and his 30K+ posts comes to mind
Thus, the temp site was born...ICThawk and Jayhawker will have to provide more details about the technical aspect of the switch, but they essentially put in all the legwork into making this place what it is today
n00bs, we're trying to make this into a forum that can last, but also a forum that isn't bogged down by censorship and inconsistent moderation...if you have any suggestions or comments, feel free to pile on, we've got thick skin over here and would prefer to have a bad ass site
anyone else that has more details, or the pics that were edited/deleted, feel free to post them here as well
